Sewin' Fool

Ahhh! I spent 4 hours in the costume department last night... It's starting to come together!! Thanks to my Auntie for cutting the tulle and adding a little extra poof to my sleeves :)

Tonight, I am going to glitz out the whole top... and maybe my socks & thrifted ($3.60) gold shoes!!

SOOOO EXCITED!!

Little Miss Halloween!

Today, thanks to the amazing Arlene (our Director of Costuming) I sewed the bottom portion of my Toddlers & Tiaras Halloween costume!! I still need to cut the tulle shorter and fix some hems... but I am so excited that I did this all by myself!

Tonight I am going to the thrift store to look for white pumps and tomorrow I am going to attempt to sew the top so I can start blinging it out by Wednesday!

YAYAY Best Halloween Costume EVER!! :)

I hope clumsiness is not genetic...

Seriously I am the clumsiest person I know and I don't know why... I am very responsible & organized. It doesn't seem like all these injuries would happen to ME!! :( But they do. Total black cloud of nonsense follows me...

Today I burned my wrist with soup out of the microwave...

Thank goodness my co-workers have taken First Aid... although now I look like I might have tried to purposely injure myself... UGH! And it still burns under there, even with the ice & goo I applied :(

Yi ya yi!! Why are crazy things always happening to me?!!

Monday Night Football!!

HOORAY!! The LIONS went 5-0 last night against the Bears, @ Monday Night Football nonetheless!! They haven't been 5-0 since 1956... when my mom was about 4 and my dad & Andrea weren't even born yet!!

GrandSLAMerson

Honestly, I haven't seen fielding like Curtis Granderson achieved last night since a little Hollywood title named Twilight! Insanity! He definitely plays the game and has a lot of heart, it's just a shame that now he's a Yankee! :(

My friends and I like to give nicknames to "our Tigers" (Carlos Guill-In-The-Gap, Maggalicious, etc.) and Curtis GrandSLAMerson was definitely my Tiger while he was in Detroit! And I repped him well...

Unfortunately he really stuck it to his old team last night and the Tigers lost Game 4 of the ALDS 10-1... total nightmare! Game 5 will be played Thursday in the Bronx!!

If our team needs any motivation... they can get it HERE! These kids are fabulous!! Let's GO TIGS!!

Khaki's, Baseball and The American Flag

It's no secret that I hate khakis. I wouldn't even own a pair if it wasn't for work events! But every once in awhile an opportunity comes along (outside of work) you can't pass up, even if it requires (dun, dun, dun) ... KHAKIS! :(

Last night my coworkers and I had the awesome opportunity to carry the American flag at Game 3 of the ALDS... Tigers vs Yankees!

"To retweet... YES!"

So yesterday I was just minding my own business, eating lunch at the Ellwood with coworkers when I was bombarded by Jason Carr of Fox 2 in Detroit!

Here is what I had to say... with flat hair and no makeup but super green eyes! NOTE: When I get tripped up regarding my MNF comment is because my real tweet actually said "I fear that the city would burn to the ground if we went 5-0 at MNF" which is not appropriate for TV! :)
